Bowling, pies, karaoke and Pimms were the winning combination for a fantastic event attended by around a third of StudyWorld London's guests. English UK and Lost in London's Brit Pop 'n' bowl party created an excellent opportunity for members and agents to network in a fun and relaxed environment.

English UK member centre Regent's College in London is now one of only five private institutions in the UK to be able to validate its own degrees, and will shortly change its name to Regent's University London.

English UK is very pleased to have won the Star School Association Award for 2012, which was announced at the Study Travel Magazine Star Awards ceremony on Saturday 1 September at the London Hilton on Park Lane.

Applications are now open for the only international awards that recognise and celebrate innovation in English language teaching. Organised by the British Council, the ELTons 2013 awards ceremony will be held on the 22 May 2013.

British Council Thailand are arranging a trip this September, bringing agents from Thailand to visit accredited UK English language centres. They are now looking for centres who are interested in hosting a visit to their centre and have asked us to circulate this to our member centres. The deadline for application forms is Friday 7 September.
