The English UK Fair, Buenos Aires 2011 took place at the InterContinental Buenos Aires from Tuesday 3 to Friday 6 May 2011. The workshop was organised by English UK in partnership with and supported by the British Council, UK Trade & Investment and VisitBritain.

The fair brought together 23 English UK member centres and 41 study abroad agents from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The programme of social events, seminars, and one-to-one appointments in the historic Argentine capital gave educators and agents the opportunity to really get to know each other and develop long-lasting productive partnerships.

MPs from the three main political parties joined English UK members for a lively evening in the House of Commons this week. Robert Syms, Julian Huppert, Andrew Smith, Paul Blomfield, Julian Brazier and Steve Brine were among the MPs who mingled with English UK members from universities, FE colleges, private centres and independent schools.

There are still places available for this Saturday's English UK Business English Trainers' Conference at International House in London. The event will be headlined by Vicki Hollett and Pete Menzies and delegates will enjoy a top quality programme of input and discussion on all areas connected with the delivery of English for professionals.
