We are pleased to welcome five new member representatives to the English UK Main Board, Jane Dancaster, Sarah Etchells, Nigel Paramor, Mark Rendell and Richard Simpson.

It's not unusual for language centres to offer specialist English courses for lawyers. But it is more unusual to have a qualified solicitor, who has also taught in one of the UK's leading centres for trainee lawyers, running the courses.

The UK's English language teaching sector is a vital part of the country's post-EU economic and trading strategy - but it urgently needs government support to play its full part.

On Monday 20 June, English UK member centre, the Westminster Academy, closed.

Students affected by this closure will be able to complete their course at another English UK member centre at no additional cost.
