Call for proposals now open
The British Council invites proposals for the second ELT Research Partnership Scheme. Through this scheme we aim to promote partnerships between UK and overseas academic institutions, and to encourage and facilitate research that will impact on ELT practice around the world.

The British Council is undertaking its 2010 "International Student Safety Questionnaire".

The survey looks at student experiences and safety issues in the United Kingdom, and the deadline for completion is Friday 2 April 2010.

English UK received a letter from Rob Yeldham at the UK Border Agency concerning the Public and Commercial Services Union strike on 8th and 9th March.
