There is now just over one week to book your place at the Business English Trainers' Conference, run in association with Business English UK, being held at International House London on Saturday 9^th May.

The Association for the Promotion of Quality in Tesol Education (QuiTE) has issued a guide to choosing an initial teacher training course. In an article in the Guardian Weekly, QuiTE urges prospective English language teachers to select a good quality training programme before they start their teaching careers.

UKTI is sponsoring the above event which is being organised by AoC and supported by English UK, the British Council, BESA, UKCISA and TVET UK.  The conference will focus on innovative approaches to international markets and is aimed at colleges, private companies including English Language schools, awarding bodies, universities and others interested in joint ventures with the Further Education sector on international exports. 

From today, international students looking to study in the UK will be able to apply for their visa through Tier 4 of the new streamlined Points Based System. The UKBA has published new application forms to be used for applications made on or after the 31 March 2009.

On 23 March, the UKBA published the Tier 4 (student) application forms, to be used for applications made on or after 31 March 2009.
