A number of important Scheme developments come into effect from 12th October 2009 of which members will need to be aware. The Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) has been created to help prevent unsuitable people from working with children and vulnerable adults.

Bookings are now being taken for the eagerly-awaited annual English UK North Academic Conference which is being held at the University of Sheffield on Saturday, 17^th October 2009. The opening plenary will be presented by Mario Rinvolucri and participants will have the opportunity to network and attend a range of sessions on CPD, skills development and new ideas.
