This month, English UK and members of our Board of Directors embarked on a highly successful scoping visit in Kurdistan, and are now in the process of planning a members' event in this region.

Visit Britain has officially launched the GREAT image campaign, in a bid to promote Britain in some of the key global economic powerhouse cities around the world.

Held on Wednesday 8 February, a dinner debate organised by English UK for Liberal Democrat MPs and peers discussed the definition of migrant and net migration targets and growth agenda.

Organised by UKTI, PartnerME 2012 is a three centre initiative involving one-day events in London (5 March), Cambridge (6 March) and Manchester (7 March), offering expert advice on a wealth of business opportunities in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Israel, Libya and Egypt.

This year's English UK ELT Marketing Conference was a great success and we have already received some very positive feedback. With a lively and engaging list of speakers, the Conference had something for everyone - from a session on effective networking, to a panel discussion on the future trends in ELT marketing.
